Vertical Blinds - Vertical Shades
A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with great height.
How We Measure
- When the window has a recess: We measure the full width inside the recess and subtract a small gap from each side of 0.5-1cm, or more if there is a reason (e.g., a hole for cables).
- We measure the full height inside the recess and subtract from the bottom side (usually 2-3cm), so the blinds or the chain connecting them do not touch.
For a simple window:
- For the width of the window, we add 5-10cm on each side for adequate overlap.
- For the height of the window, we add 5-10cm at the top for the supports of the blinds.
- At the bottom of the window, we usually add 5-10cm. If there is an obstacle (e.g., radiator), it must be taken into account.
The same applies to balcony doors as simple windows, with one difference: from the total height, we subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so the blinds do not touch the floor.
Blinds Direction
- The blinds gather on the opposite side where the window handle is located.
- The control is placed on the same side.
