Vertical Blinds - Vertical Window Shades
How We Measure
- When the window has a recess:
- We measure the entire width inside the recess and subtract a small gap from each side of 0.5-1 cm, or more if necessary (e.g. hole for cables).
- We measure the entire height inside the recess and subtract from the bottom side (usually 2-3 cm), so the blinds or the chain connecting them do not touch the bottom.
- For a regular window:
- For the window width, we add 5-10 cm on each side for sufficient overlap.
- For the window height, we add 5-10 cm to the top for the blinds' supports.
- At the bottom of the window, we add as much as desired, usually 5-10 cm, taking into account any obstacles.
- For balcony doors, the same applies as for regular windows, with one difference: we subtract 2-3 cm from the bottom so the blinds do not touch the floor.
Direction of Blinds
- The blinds gather on the opposite side from the window handle.
- The control is placed on the same side.
