Vertical Blinds - Vertical Shades

A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with great height.

First of All… How to Measure

When the window has a recess:

  • Measure the entire width inside the recess and subtract a small gap from each side of 0.5-1cm, or more if necessary (e.g., hole for cables).
  • Measure the entire height inside the recess and subtract from the bottom (practically as much gap as desired), usually between 2-3cm, so that the blinds or the chain connecting them do not touch.

These are the final dimensions needed for the construction of the vertical blinds.

For a simple window:

  • For the width of the window, add 5-10cm on each side to always have sufficient overlap.
  • For the height of the window, add 5-10cm on the top part for the blind brackets to be screwed in. Note: Make sure that there are no embedded cables at the desired height.
  • At the bottom of the window – practically – add as much as desired, usually between 5-10cm. Of course, if there is an obstacle (e.g., radiator), it must be taken into account.

The same applies to balcony doors as to simple windows, with one difference: from the total height, i.e., the balcony door height plus 10-15cm on the top for the brackets, subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so that the blinds do not touch the floor.

Direction of Blinds

  • As a rule, the blinds gather on the opposite side where the window handle is located.
  • The control is placed on the same side.

  • The shade you see on your screen may slightly differ from that of the fabric.
  • A free blind sample is available.
  • They offer controlled light flow into the space.
