Vertical Blinds - Vertical Shades

First of all… How to measure:

A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with great height. When the window has a recess:

  • We measure the full width inside the recess and subtract a small gap from each side of 0.5-1cm, or more if there is a reason (e.g., a hole for cables).
  • We measure the full height inside the recess and subtract from the bottom side (practically as much gap as we want), but usually this ranges around 2-3cm, so that the blinds or the chain that connects them do not touch the bottom.

These are the final dimensions needed for the construction of the vertical blinds.

For a simple window:

  • For the width of the window, we add 5-10cm on each side to always have sufficient overlap.
  • For the height of the window, we add 5-10cm at the top to mount the blinds’ supports. ATTENTION: Make sure that at the desired height there are no embedded cables.
  • At the bottom of the window – practically – we add as much as we want. Usually this ranges from 5-10cm. Of course, if there is an obstacle (e.g., radiator), it must be taken into account.

If you have a window that opens inward and you do not want the blinds, when gathered to one side, to obstruct the opening of the window, calculate more additional width from that side so the blinds gather on the outer side of the window frame.

The same rules apply for balcony doors as for simple windows, with one difference:

From the total height, meaning the height of the balcony door plus 10-15cm at the top for supports, subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so that the blinds do not touch the floor.

Blind direction:

  • As a rule, the blinds gather on the opposite side where the window handle is located.
  • The control is also placed on the same side.

Notes:

  • The shade you see on your screen may have some deviation from that of the fabric, due to the different color rendering of each screen.
  • A free blind sample is available so you can be sure about your choice.
  • They provide controlled light flow in the space.
  • Made of synthetic polyester material with partial blackout.
  • The mechanism and accessories are available in white color.

Vertical blinds are a flexible and practical solution for light control and privacy in both professional and residential spaces.
