Vertical Blinds - Vertical Shades
A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with great height.
When the window has a recess:
- We measure the entire width inside the recess and subtract a small gap of 0.5-1cm from each side, or more if necessary (e.g., a hole for cables).
- We measure the entire height inside the recess and subtract from the bottom (usually 2-3cm) so that the blinds or the connecting chain do not touch the floor.
These are the final dimensions needed for the construction of the vertical blinds.
For a simple window:
- For the window width, add 5-10cm to each side for adequate overlap.
- For the window height, add 5-10cm at the top for the support of the blinds. Make sure there are no embedded cables at the desired height.
- At the bottom of the window, add 5-10cm, considering any obstacles.
For inward-opening windows, calculate extra width so the blinds can be gathered at the side of the window from the outside.
For balcony doors, the same applies, except subtract 2-3cm from the bottom.
Direction of blinds
- The blinds gather on the side with the window handle.
