First of All… How We Measure

A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with great height.

When the window has a recess:

  • We measure the full width inside the recess and subtract a small gap from each side of 0.5-1cm, or more if there is a reason (e.g. hole for cables).
  • We measure the full height inside the recess and subtract from the bottom side (practically as much gap as we want), but usually this ranges from 2-3cm, so that the blinds or the chain connecting them do not touch the bottom.

These are the final dimensions needed for the manufacture of the vertical blinds.

For a Simple Window:

  • For the width of the window, we add 5-10cm on each side to always have adequate overlap.
  • For the height of the window, we add 5-10cm to the top part to screw in the blind brackets. CAUTION: Make sure that at the desired height, there are no embedded cables.
  • At the bottom part of the window – practically – we add as much as we want. Usually this ranges from 5-10cm. If there is an obstacle (e.g. radiator), we must take it into account.

If you have an inward-opening window and you do not want the blinds, when gathered to one side, to interfere with the window opening, consider adding extra width on that side so the blinds gather at the side of the window from the outside.

The same applies for balcony doors as for a simple window, with one difference: From the total height, i.e. the height of the balcony door plus 10-15cm at the top for the brackets, we subtract 2-3cm from the bottom so the blinds do not touch the floor.

Direction of the Blinds

  • As a rule, the blinds gather on the opposite side where the window handle is located.
  • The control is placed on the same side.

Notes:

  • The shade you see on your screen may deviate somewhat from that of the fabric, due to the different color rendering of screens.
  • A free blind sample is available to confirm your choice.
  • They offer controlled light flow in the space.
  • Made from synthetic polyester semi-darkening material.
  • The mechanism and accessories are available in white color.
