Vertical Blinds - Vertical Shades
How We Measure
A characteristic of vertical blinds is that they are ideal for applications with great height.
- When the window has a recess: We measure the entire width within the recess and subtract a small gap of 0.5-1cm from each side.
- We measure the height within the recess and subtract from the bottom side, usually 2-3cm, so the blinds do not touch the floor.
These are the final dimensions needed for the manufacturing of the vertical blinds.
For a Simple Window
- For the window width, we add 5-10cm on each side for sufficient overlap.
- For the window height, we add 5-10cm at the top for the supports.
- At the bottom of the window, we add 5-10cm, taking possible obstacles into account.
If the window opens inward, calculate more width on that side so it does not hinder the window opening.
For Balcony Doors: the same rules apply with one difference: subtract 2-3cm from the bottom.
Blind Direction
- As a rule, the blinds gather on the side with the window handle.
- The mechanism is installed on the same side.
