The figure of Imra Ardeen is an extremely powerful telepath, trained by elite mentalists in her homeland, Saturn's moon Titan. She was called to join the United Planets’ Teen Subcommand for Peace, along with other exceptional teens, Rokk Krinn and Garth Ranzz. During an interview with United Planets President R.J. Brande, their ship was attacked by the Horraz Organization. The attack was repelled by the teens, and Brande proposed an opportunity to make a real difference in culture by reviving the mythical “Age of Heroes” as a Legion of Superheroes that could operate like Metropolis’s legendary hero, Superman. Imra realized that this way she could best use her unlikely psychic abilities.
