• Ingredients: 100% juniper berries.
• Usage: Juniper berries add aroma to dishes and reduce the fatty sensation in duck and pork dishes, while enhancing the flavor of various stuffing mixtures. The distinctive aroma of juniper pairs perfectly with meat, especially game. Pork leg, roasted lamb legs, veal, rabbit, and game are well complemented by a touch of juniper. Juniper also pairs well with other herbs and spices, particularly thyme, sage, oregano, marjoram, bay leaves, allspice, onion, and garlic. A small amount of juniper in a simple chicken stew can yield excellent results. Juniper can also be used to season marinated meats based on wine and, combined with coriander, is added to smoked meats. In Sweden, juniper is used to enhance the flavor of pâtés and various sauces.
