Mallow is a herb made from the aerial parts of the plant, traditionally used to support the respiratory system and soothe the throat. It is sourced from Greece, in the Imathia regional unit, where it is harvested in the Pierian Mountains at low altitude.
To prepare an infusion, add 1 tablespoon of crushed mallow or a pinch of uncrushed leaves to boiling water. Cover and steep for 10–15 minutes, then strain. Store in a cool, dark place at 5–15 °C.
