Historical facts and plant morphology: The botanical name Tilia comes from the Greek word “tilos,” as the bark of the linden tree contains abundant fibers. Historically, it is used for its therapeutic properties and is associated with Greek mythology.

Plant characteristics:

  • Height: up to 20 meters
  • Leaves: heart-shaped with intensely aromatic flowers
  • Flower concentration: during flowering, mainly in summer

Properties:

  • Diuretic action: Helps with the elimination of kidney stones.
  • Calming: Helps relieve insomnia and anxiety.
  • Respiratory system: Relieves cough.
  • Antihypertensive action: Helps reduce blood pressure.
  • Warming effect: Useful in cases of cold.

Usage: Infusion: 1/2 tablespoon of crushed linden with 1 glass of boiling water. Let it steep for 10-15 minutes and strain.
