Sea Buckthorn is a shrub that thrives in cold climates and has a history of use since the time of Alexander the Great, as the troops and horses consumed its leaves and fruits. Its name comes from the Greek "hippos" (horse) and "phaes" (bright) due to its beneficial effects on horses. Its herbal uses include:
