Historical Information: Burdock has been known since antiquity for its healing properties. Hippocrates and Dioscorides referred to it as "arction" and used it to treat skin conditions and relieve pain.

Plant Characteristics: It is a herbaceous plant, up to two meters tall, with large heart-shaped leaves and purple flowers.

Properties:

• Ideal for skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.
• Stimulates the lymphatic system and relieves swollen lymph nodes.

Usage: 1 tablespoon of burdock is steeped with 1 glass of boiling water in a covered container, left for 10-15 minutes, and strained before use.
