Historical Data and Plant Morphology: Lemon Balm (Melissa officinalis) is a perennial, aromatic plant native to the Mediterranean. Its flowers attract bees. It has been used therapeutically for more than two millennia. It is mainly used for the protection of the heart and stomach.
