History and Plant Morphology: Rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is an aromatic shrub belonging to the Lamiaceae family. It mainly grows in warm Mediterranean areas. The plant has thin, needle-like leaves and blue-purple flowers. It has been used since ancient times in cooking and for therapeutic purposes.
