Natural zeolites, mainly clinoptilolite, can be used in agriculture to improve soil quality and increase yields, thanks to their unique properties. The ion exchange properties of zeolites can be exploited in agriculture due to their good adsorption and high cation exchange capacity. Natural zeolites are generally suitable for soil remediation, erosion control, and improving soil conditions in dry and semi-arid environments, especially in soils poor in sand and clay. In addition, zeolites can enhance the efficiency of organic fertilizers.
