The Cisco NIM-4BRI-NT/TE is a 4-port BRI Network Interface Module (NIM) designed for Cisco 4000 Series Integrated Services Routers (ISR). It provides four ISDN BRI ports for voice connectivity (voice-focused module), supports Online Insertion and Removal (OIR), and includes onboard DSP resources for TDM voice functions, so an additional PVDM is generally not required for these voice capabilities. The module has a NIM form factor and is intended to expand voice port density on supported ISR platforms.
