Gothic - The Story of the Colonies of Khorinis

The war has engulfed the entire kingdom of Myrtana. Hordes of orcs have invaded human territories, and the king needs enormous amounts of ore to forge weapons capable of resisting the threat. In these dark times, anyone breaking the law is sentenced to serve their punishment in the vast penal colony of Khorinis, where they are forced to mine the valuable metal.

The Mage's Barrier

The entire region, known as "The Colony," is surrounded by a magical barrier—a sphere approximately two kilometers in diameter—that fully isolates the colony from the rest of the world. The barrier can only be crossed from outside to inside, but once inside, escape is impossible. What was originally meant as a control measure became a perfect trap, and the prisoners quickly exploited the situation, starting an uprising.

The World Inside the Colony

The colony is divided into three rival factions, each fighting for survival and control. The king was forced to negotiate for the metal instead of demanding it by force, and the balance of power has completely shifted.

In the Midst of the Turmoil

Thrown into this massive prison with no allies and no security, you must survive, forge uneasy alliances, and find your own path in a dangerous world until you finally manage to escape.
