The Fizik Vento Argo R3 Adaptive saddle utilizes the latest 3D printing technology. The padding is designed for maximum comfort, achieved through precisely constructed functional zones with specific properties. The saddle's versatile shape performs excellently on road, gravel, and MTB bikes.
The nylon base provides strong support while keeping the weight relatively low. The hollow rails are made from K:ium alloy, which is lightweight and corrosion-resistant. Additionally, they effectively absorb micro-vibrations, enhancing comfort.
The advancement of 3D printing facilitated the development of a completely new saddle without restrictions imposed by materials or manufacturing processes. The customized padding is produced using the revolutionary Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) technology. DLS allows for the creation of components with excellent mechanical properties and finish, all with maximum precision.
Thanks to this advanced technology, it was possible to design multiple functional zones with precisely defined properties. Each zone offers a unique combination of absorption and mechanical support to assist the rider during cycling. All zones are seamlessly integrated into an exceptionally comfortable padding, achieving a 60% reduction in pressure thanks to better weight distribution across the entire saddle.
The saddle is dirt-resistant and very easy to clean. In case of mud, sand, stones, or other residues, simply rinse with water. The open design allows dirt to easily escape from the saddle. Additionally, rigorous tests of accelerated aging simulation and UV exposure were conducted to assess durability.
The versatile shape of the Argo saddle works very well on various types of bikes. Whether on smooth roads or technical local trails, the Argo is designed to provide maximum comfort in all conditions. It allows for a comfortable position and better weight distribution. The short design with the downward nose is ideal for adopting an aggressive cycling stance.
The ideal development of the customized zones required studying the positions and pressure points of both professional cyclists and amateurs. This was done in labs and on open roads to gather the most accurate data necessary for creating the optimal design. At each development stage, changes in pressure patterns were carefully analyzed according to bike geometry, rider position, and surface.
