Description

Description

This Statute was adopted at the 19th Congress of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE), which took place from April 11 to April 14, 2013.

It was developed through amendments and additions to the Statute approved at the 15th Congress of the KKE. It also draws on both past and recent experiences.

The Statute defines the aims and character of the KKE, as well as the principles and rules for its organization, operation, and activities. It outlines the obligations, rights, fundamental duties, and rules of action for the Party’s members, organizations, and bodies.

The great value and importance of the founding principles and operational rules of the KKE, as a revolutionary party of a new type, have been tested and proven over its nearly one-century existence and activity, as well as through the rich experience of the international communist movement.

The conscious and resolute defense of these principles, along with strict adherence to and implementation of them, constitutes the primary duty of every Party member. This duty is closely linked to defending the very existence of the Party and the essential prerequisites necessary for it to guide the working class in its historic mission, in the revolutionary conquest of power, and in building socialism.
