CYNKAL acrylic primer 0.7L Brown 8016
CYNKAL is an acrylic primer designed for painting steel, galvanized, cast iron, and light metals (such as aluminum, copper, brass) surfaces. It is based on an acrylic copolymer and has been modified with adhesion promoters, offering high adhesion to all types of substrates. It contains modern corrosion inhibitors that chemically bind corrosion products, providing excellent anti-corrosion properties. CYNKAL contains small amounts of alcohols and their derivatives to facilitate paint penetration into corrosion products. It bonds physically and chemically with rust and metal substrates.
It is resistant to low temperatures, corrosion, and UV radiation. It maintains color fastness and does not contain chromium or lead compounds. It facilitates application.
Purpose: CYNKAL is intended for painting clean (e.g. after de-rusting) or partially clean elements affected by corrosion and made of steel, cast iron, or light metals (aluminum, copper, brass, etc.). After drying and bonding with the substrate, the first coat acts as an excellent primer for subsequent coats of CYNKAL or other solvent-based and chemically curing paints, as well as fillers. Applying 2-4 coats of CYNKAL provides corrosion protection and an aesthetic finish.
Like most acrylic paints, CYNKAL can also be used on wood, cement, fiber cement, and other porous substrates. It is mainly used as a primer, but it can also serve as an anti-corrosion undercoat beneath other paints or as an enamel for repainting existing surfaces.
For medium-term protection, a minimum dry film thickness of 150 microns is required. For long-term protection, the coating thickness should be increased.
CYNKAL is often used when technical or economic reasons prevent full surface preparation by abrasive blasting, or when partially adhered corrosion products and old coatings remain after mechanical surface treatment. It offers measurable economic benefits by reducing the need for extensive mechanical or chemical surface preparation before painting.
Like most paints, CYNKAL is resistant to temperatures up to 200°C; however, discoloration may occur in the coatings. The addition of reactive cross-linking resins increases the coating hardness and prevents streaking at temperatures of 130-140°C.
