    Unfortunately, this thermos is the worst thing I have ever bought in terms of temperature retention. I had been using the previous model for the last 3 years on a daily basis, without a straw and with a metal lid. It was the best thing I had ever bought. It kept the water cold for many hours in a very hot environment.
    This one, as I said, is TERRIBLE. It cannot keep cold water cold at all now in the summer. I keep it with the straw closed and when I want to drink I open it, and the temperature does not last any longer than a Jumbo thermos. Money wasted, really.
    The only positive thing is the 800ml capacity and that it seems sturdy
