  • The factory-made sym joymax 250 lasted 2 years and 10 months. Suddenly, while doing the check, it turned off and never started again, nor did it give any sign of life... I believe it's not worth the 85-90. It's better to go for a cheaper one, it will have the same lifespan, maybe a little less.

    UPDATE 28/3/2024
After 2.5 years and three winters of operation, I had to change it (despite the fact that the scooter had a kickstarter) because it couldn't reach the required amperes to start the Downtown. In the morning, it needed 4-5 kicks to start. The truth is that this particular scooter is "difficult" with its currents. I was hoping, however, that this battery would perform better to be honest. So, I remove one star for this reason, as well as for the unbelievable price increase from 65€ to 85€ within two years.

    INITIAL REVIEW
Everything that previous reviews have written is true. During the winter, with the cold weather when I don't use the scooter (Kymco Downtown 300i), it has no problem starting, even if I leave it unused for a month. With the old Yuasa battery (Indonesian version), after a week of inactivity in the winter, it was difficult to start compared to a new one. In the second year, after two weeks of inactivity, it wouldn't start at all and needed charging. Even after charging, it would still have the same issues when the scooter was left unused. GS once again, GS, amazing performance!

One year with the Kymco and it starts on the first try, even in the winter when I rarely ride the bike. I recommend it.

It was on the Kymco 200gt from the factory. It lasted me 11 years of operation on an island and only a few times in the winter. The last 2 years I was charging it in the winter because it would die if I didn't use it. I believe it's an alien battery. It's made in Taiwan. Now it's time to get the same one again.

The next one I bought lasted 4 years and 1 month. It's a bit expensive but it's worth it
