Vismed Light from the pharmaceutical company TRB Chemedica is a medical device used as a moisturizing fluid for the eyes in cases of dryness, irritation, and eye fatigue, as well as other similar complaints caused by dust, cigarette smoke, dry and hot air, air conditioning, and for people who wear contact lenses or work excessively with computers. The product hydrates and soothes the eyes, relieving the feeling of dryness or burning in the eyes. It protects the surface of the ocular mucous membrane from dryness.
Vismed Light has a pH of 7.3, similar to tears. It contains sodium hyaluronate, a natural polymer present in the structures of the human eye. The specific natural characteristics of sodium hyaluronate determine its viscoelastic properties and its ability to retain water. It forms a protective film over the eye, which is removed in very small amounts during blinking, providing a long-lasting effect and maximum comfort. Thanks to its composition, it is very well tolerated, and the preservatives used ensure the sterility of the solution for three months after opening the bottle. It is available in a 15 ml package.
Composition: Each 1 ml of the Vismed Light solution contains - sodium hyaluronate 0.1%, sodium chloride, disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate, purified water, disodium edetate, and polyhexanide as a preservative.
Warnings: Do not touch the tip of the bottle with your finger or allow it to come into contact with the surface of the eye. Do not use if the integrity of the bottle has been compromised. Store at temperatures between 2-25 degrees Celsius.
Problems: In very rare cases, the use of Vismed may cause temporary disturbances such as conjunctivitis, foreign body sensation, redness or burning in the eyes, and short-term blurred vision.
