Biovita coconut chips are a growing medium made from crushed coconut husks and fibres, with no artificial additives. They can be used on their own or mixed with soil to help improve aeration and create a looser texture. As they provide few nutrients, we recommend combining them with organic fertiliser when growing plants.
They absorb water and can retain fertilisers, gradually releasing nutrients into the growing medium. They are suitable for plants and flowers and are also recommended as a growing medium for orchids, terrarium animals and aquarium plants.
