- Surface preparation: Surfaces must be clean of dust, wax, grease, silicone, soap, old paint layers, and anything else that may affect adhesion. METEOR 12 can only be applied to suitable surfaces that have been cleaned, washed, and degreased with appropriate products (mainly acidic) and have been rinsed and completely dried.
- Check the flatness of the tile surface. All protrusions or decorative outlines must be sanded down with an angle grinder equipped with a dust extraction system.
- Ensure that the tiles are stable. Any loose tile must be reinstalled. In case of missing tiles or damage, repair the area with two-component epoxy putty.
- Fill all joints level with the tiles using two-component epoxy putty to achieve a uniform and flat base.
- Lightly sand the surface with sandpaper (P80-120) to improve adhesion and remove dust. Apply a primer (concrete contact).
During the application of METEOR 12, the following procedures should be taken into account:
- Application of the first layer: Using an electric mixer at low speed, mix the product very carefully! Using a stainless steel spatula, apply a thin layer of METEOR 12.
- Application of the final layer: After 8 to 10 hours, reapply METEOR 12 and finish with spatula movements in all directions.
