The Calumet filter is a variable neutral density filter, ND2 to ND400, that adjusts light reduction from 1 to 9 stops to control exposure without changing the camera settings. It is made from Japanese AGC glass, with neutral color reproduction and a hardness rating of 6H, while the aircraft-grade aluminum frame is 7.4 mm thick. The 28 multilayer coatings include hydrophobic, oleophobic, scratch-resistant, and anti-reflective coatings.
The double thread allows two filters or other accessories to be used at the same time. It is suitable for landscape photography, architectural photography, and videography, as well as for long-exposure effects, smoothing water surfaces, and blurring clouds.
