The Ajax Systems EN54 FireProtect smoke detector uses a smoke chamber with a dual-spectrum optical sensor and the HazeFlow 2 algorithm to detect fires. The sensor features blue and infrared LEDs with different wavelengths and measures the concentration of fine particles in the air, distinguishing between airborne particle sizes so it responds only to smoke.
The HazeFlow 2 algorithm analyzes and compares sensor data with a predefined pattern, distinguishing smoke from water vapor. When the signal characteristics indicate an actual fire, the detector immediately activates the alarm.
