The Freewell Pro Card Reader Plus and Pro SSD Link set combines a memory card reader and an SSD adapter for transferring data and recording footage to external storage. The reader has three slots for reading SD, CFexpress Type A, CFexpress Type B, and XQD cards simultaneously, while the adapter connects to M.2 2230 NVMe drives. The USB-C port provides data transfer speeds of up to 10 Gb/s.
The Pro SSD Link enables direct ProRes recording to compatible smartphones. It supports USB 3.2 Gen 2, UASP, and TRIM, while its additional USB-C ports allow simultaneous charging at up to 100 W, data transfer, and connection of audio devices. MagSafe magnetic mounting and a non-slip silicone pad help secure it to a compatible smartphone.
The reader uses passive cooling, while the adapter features active cooling with a fan that automatically turns on when the temperature exceeds 35°C. Both devices have aluminum housings.
