The Proterra Tough i30 wheels keep the trails under control while everything else blurs at the edges. Reinforced with the proven Dual I-Beam technologies, the Proterra Tough rims feature an internal width of 30mm for greater tire volume, offering increased sidewall support at lower pressures. The sealed high-quality EZO bearings are designed to withstand seasons of aggressive riding, while the sensitive 6-pawl hub provides precise 5-degree engagement during turns.

Used in: Trial/Enduro. The rims should be paired with high-quality bearings, which further enhance the performance of this lightweight and reliable wheelset. Frequency bearings feature a low-friction 6-pawl design, alternating between two sets of 3-pawl groups to provide a sensitive 5-degree engagement.

A durable nylon strip is placed between the rim and the tubeless tape to prevent tape pressure from penetrating the spoke holes and to ensure a smooth connection between the tire and rim. The smooth surface facilitates tire installation by preventing air leakage around the joint during inflation. The Solid Strip also protects the airtight system from punctures in case of a broken spoke.

The Proterra wheels incorporate TCS (Tubeless Compatible System) and come with Solid Strip, TCS tubeless tape, and valves made from black alloy. This means all Proterra wheels are tubeless-ready and include sealant straight out of the box.
