Medium thickness rutile electrodes are specially recommended for welding light metal structures and thin carbon sheets. They are suitable for welding non-alloy steels with a maximum carbon content of 0.25%, for light constructions used at temperatures up to 0̊ Celsius. The arc is stable, the spatter is very low both in direct current and alternating current. The weld has an aesthetic appearance and the slag is easily removed.
