The automatic dark filter (ADF) operates on the principle of photoelectric induction, allowing the liquid crystals to change from a light state to a dark state upon receiving the light from the arc and automatically return to the light state once welding is completed, protecting the user's eyes and skin from the ultraviolet radiation produced by the arc and sparks.
