The Radiomaster Pocket is a compact remote controller with an excellent price-to-performance ratio. It is suitable for beginner pilots or anyone looking for a small, compact remote controller. Its small size makes it ideal for younger pilots.
The remote controller uses Hall gimbals with removable sticks for easy transport, which can be stored on the side of the device. The transmission antenna folds down and takes up minimal space during transport. Instead of conventional switches, the remote controller is equipped with a switch base and buttons, which are more compact and durable.
All status information is displayed on the monochrome LCD screen. The remote controller is configured in the same way as other Radiomaster models, using 6 buttons and a rotary selector. It runs the fully configurable EdgeTX firmware.
The Radiomaster Pocket is powered by two 18650 Li-ion batteries (not included), which can be charged via the USB-C port on the bottom. The USB port on top is used to connect to a computer for simulator flying. On the back of the remote controller is a compatible Nano module bay for optional expansion with an external transmission module. Gimbal tension can be easily adjusted from the back of the device.
A key advantage of this remote controller is its built-in ELRS module, with an output power of up to 250mW and a refresh rate of up to 1kHz. ExpressLRS (ELRS for short) is an open-source project, and its transmitter and receiver modules are produced by many manufacturers. ELRS is currently one of the most advanced RC systems. It offers reliable long-range connectivity, a high refresh rate, adjustable output power, Wi-Fi updates, Bluetooth connectivity, and more.
At 2.4GHz, ELRS outperforms conventional RC systems in every area while still using short antennas. Bluetooth connectivity is especially useful for simulator enthusiasts, allowing you to connect wirelessly to a computer.
