The Varta camping lantern combines a white CREE LED flashlight with multicolour LEDs. Press briefly to switch it on or off; while it is on, press and hold to adjust the brightness. Double-press to activate multicolour lighting, with colours that change automatically or can be selected with a short press.
It has two built-in hooks, one at the top and one at the bottom, and detachable flashlights that can be removed with a button. When the battery is low, the light flashes for 5 s at 2 Hz, and the warning repeats every 5 minutes. It withstands drops from 1 m and has passed vibration testing at extreme temperatures.
