The Techstar® B12 adapter converts your car’s wired CarPlay or Android Auto connection to wireless, allowing the corresponding interface to appear on your car’s screen. It connects to the data USB port and, after the initial pairing, connects automatically every time you start the car. Pairing is via Bluetooth 5.0, while data is transferred via 5.8 GHz Wi-Fi.
It supports voice commands via Siri or Google Assistant, hands-free calls, and access to navigation and music apps such as Waze, Google Maps, Spotify, WhatsApp, and YouTube Music, depending on CarPlay or Android Auto support. Its button lets you quickly disconnect or reconnect, switch between two phones, and reset the adapter. It works only in cars with factory-installed wired CarPlay or Android Auto support and does not add these features to cars that do not already have them.
