The Hoya Prond Ex 64 72mm filter reduces the amount of light passing through the lens by 6 stops. When shooting video outdoors, it allows shutter speeds to be adjusted to match the frame rate while maintaining the desired depth of field. Additionally, for moving subjects, motion blur can be achieved, offering a more cinematic dimension to the image.

In photography applications, the filter enables the use of longer exposures or the creation of a shallow depth of field in intense sunlight.

The ProND EX 64 filter uses Hoya's ACCU-ND technology to prevent color shift, ensuring consistent image quality. ACCU-ND provides equal light reduction in both the visible and infrared spectrum, preventing color changes when shooting under various outdoor conditions.

Additional ND filters can be stacked on the front, or a screw-on lens cap or another filter can be attached.
