Varietal composition: Nebbiolo.
Region: Piedmont, Italy.
Tasting characteristics: The Pichemej Barolo DOCG from the Gian Piero Marrone estate is a top-quality, single-varietal red wine made from Nebbiolo grapes, originating from the world-famous Barolo region of Piedmont. In the glass, it impresses with its deep ruby color, which takes on charming garnet (purple) highlights at the edges, while releasing a rich bouquet of aromas of plums, sour cherries, Morello cherries and blackberries. These fruity notes are ideally complemented by aromas of toasted oak, cigar box and juniper, the result of its excellent maturation in barrels.
On the palate, it presents itself as a wonderfully dry and full-bodied wine which, despite its strength and structure, remains round, smooth and with a beautifully concentrated texture. Its vibrant fruit acidity gives it freshness and liveliness on the palate, while the experience concludes with an exceptionally long and impressive finish, highlighting its authentic, refined European character.
