The nail file is an essential tool for nail care. The numbers indicate how coarse a file is: the higher the numbers, the finer its texture, and conversely, the lower the numbers, the thicker and rougher it is.

• 80-100: very coarse grit
• 120-150: coarse grit
• 180-240: medium grit
• 400: soft grit
• 600: very soft grit

For artificial nails, files with coarser grit are preferred, while for natural nails, softer files are recommended. All Peggy Sage files are washable.
