• 80-100: very coarse grit
• 120-150: coarse grit
• 180-240: medium grit
• 400: soft grit
• 600: very soft grit

The choice of file depends on the type of nails: for artificial nails, files with coarser grit are preferred, while for natural nails, softer files are preferred. It is important to note that all Peggy Sage files are washable.
