This collective volume includes the proceedings of the two-day conference on the 50 years of application of Article 24 of the Constitution, which was co-organized by the Hellenic Society for Environmental Law (EEDIPER) and the Scientific Society for Urban Planning and Spatial Development Law (EEDIPOCH) in Larissa in November 2025.

Twenty-seven authors from the academic community, the Council of State, public administration, and the environmental law sector assess half a century of the implementation of one of the most influential provisions of the Greek Constitution and highlight the challenges that lie ahead.

The studies in the volume shed light on critical aspects of the fifty-year application and interpretation of Article 24 of the Constitution in the fields of natural, urban, and cultural environment, while also opening the discussion on new issues that will concern environmental, spatial planning, and urban law in the coming years.
