Proto Energy Gel 1:1 are energy gels for endurance athletes, designed to provide a high amount of easily absorbed carbohydrates. The “1:1” refers to the ratio of 50% maltodextrin and 50% fructose, allowing the body to use two different absorption mechanisms and consume more carbohydrates per hour with a lower risk of gastrointestinal discomfort.

TORQ 1:1 Proto Energy Gels were specifically designed for carbohydrate intake above 120 g per hour. TORQ 1:1 Proto Energy Drinks powders are mixed with 500 ml of water and provide 40 g of carbohydrates, as well as the full set of 5 electrolytes.

Each TORQ 1:1 Proto Energy Gel contains 40 g of multiple transportable carbohydrates, formulated in a 1:1 ratio of maltodextrin to fructose.

TORQ 1:1 Proto products are suitable only for extremely high carbohydrate intake. If at least 120 g of carbohydrates per hour is not planned, it is recommended to use the regular TORQ 2:1 product range.
