Swamp Ash Body Construction & Ergonomic Design

The body of the instrument is made from solid swamp ash, a wood renowned for its natural resonance, tight lows, slightly scooped mids, and clear, airy highs. The distinctive Shallow Violin Carve provides a smooth resting surface for the right forearm, reducing fatigue during extended playing sessions. The Vintage Sunburst finish brings out the striking natural grain of the swamp ash, while the protective gloss coating shields the wood from moisture and mechanical wear without restricting its structural acoustic response.

Maple Neck & Fretboard, Wide Thin

The neck is crafted from select Maple and joined to the body with a Bolt-On connection, delivering immediate attack, acoustic clarity, and pronounced snap with every note. It features the ergonomic Wide Thin profile, with a thickness of 20.6 mm at the 1st fret and 22.6 mm at the 12th fret, ensuring a secure grip and smooth movement along the instrument. The maple fretboard has a modern 10" (254 mm) radius and PRS’s intermediate 25" (635 mm) scale length, and is fitted with 22 Medium Jumbo frets and the classic PRS Birds inlays, offering comfort for both bending techniques and fast legato passages.

HSH Electronics, Coil-Split Versatility & Tremolo System

The electronics combine two PRS 85/15 "S" humbuckers in the bridge and neck positions with a central PRS AS-01 Single-Coil, built with Alnico pole pieces and a steel plate for enhanced response. The 3-way toggle switch and Tone control with a Push-Pull Coil-Split switch provide six distinct tonal combinations, allowing the central single-coil to be activated alongside the outer coils of the humbuckers. The hardware features a cast PRS Patented Tremolo and PRS-Designed tuners, ensuring smooth vibrato, reliable tuning, and precise intonation.
