Description

AQUAFOREST NATURAL SUBSTRATE 7.5 l

High-quality product for aquarium substrates based on peat and clay, enriched with trace elements. It does not contain fillers such as sand. The carefully selected composition creates optimal conditions for the proper development of the root system and is rich in nutrients necessary for the healthy and abundant growth of plants in freshwater.

The selected peat creates excellent conditions for plant rooting and, due to its rich mineral content, provides essential trace elements for healthy growth. It acidifies the substrate, making the aquarium an ideal environment for the growth of tropical plants. Its composition includes organic substances rich in carbon, as well as natural inorganic substances (including iron, phosphorus, and calcium). The clay improves the substrate structure, providing the perfect texture. Like peat, it acts as a nutrient reservoir, maintaining or releasing excesses depending on the biological balance in the aquarium. During laboratory tests, trace elements were carefully selected to meet the needs of aquarium plants without disrupting the aquarium’s chemical balance. AF Natural Substrate is rich in trace elements, so the use of fertilizers containing trace elements is not recommended during the first 3 months unless signs of deficiency appear.

Instructions for use:

  • Initially, place a bottom heater (if used).
  • Spread the substrate over the bottom and compress it so that the substrate thickness is about 2-2.5 cm.
  • Cover with about 3 cm layer of dolomite or sand.
  • Carefully pour about 15 cm of water. It is recommended to place a plate or cup-shaped object at the bottom and direct the flow of water onto it to prevent the removal of AF Natural Substrate.
  • Plant the plants.
  • Fill the aquarium with water.

10 liters of the product is sufficient for an aquarium up to 200 liters with a base surface of 100 cm x 40 cm. In soft water, it may cause a pH decrease.
