What is stainless steel?
Steel is an alloy of iron and carbon. Stainless steel is a special category of steel that contains higher proportions of other metals. Steel has become popular in recent years because it offers several advantages. It is much cheaper than silver and gold, does not tarnish, is hypoallergenic compared with other metals such as brass, and is quite durable. However, it is not a precious metal and therefore does not have lasting value.
