FLUVAL Bio-Stratum 2kg is a natural active substrate for planted aquariums, made from 100% mineral-rich volcanic soil from Mount Aso in Japan.

It contains beneficial nitrifying bacteria that activate immediately, helping to start the nitrogen cycle and reduce ammonia. It promotes root development, growth, and vibrant plant color, while providing additional biological filtration.

The porous 1 mm granules do not compact, allowing roots to grow easily and providing nutrients, minerals, and trace elements for healthy growth and intense plant coloration, while enhancing biological filtration and improving water quality.

It helps maintain a neutral to slightly acidic pH, softens the water, and does not discolor it. Suitable for planted aquariums with tropical fish and shrimp.
