The POC Fornix BC helmet is designed for backcountry skiing and snowboarding, with a Mips system that helps provide enhanced protection against rotational impacts. The polycarbonate shell and expanded polystyrene liner are combined with integrated aramid sections to improve structural strength and penetration protection. It features a RECCO avalanche rescue reflector and a Twiceme NFC Medical ID chip, which can store medical information that a rescue team or emergency responders can access by tapping it with a smartphone.
The 360° adjustment system and dial help customize the fit without changing the pads. Ventilation can be adjusted to suit weather conditions, while the vents align with goggles to release vapor and reduce fogging. A fixed clip secures the goggles, and the soft, flexible ear pads are removable.
