The Purewave PWCTO-97520BB replacement water filter uses solid Carbon Block activated carbon for 5 μm filtration. It is suitable for mains water systems and as a pre-filter in reverse osmosis systems, while reducing chlorine and capturing sediment and particles.

Its structure helps improve the taste and odor of water and reduce organic compounds and pesticides. The filter provides antimicrobial protection for the filtration media itself; this does not sterilize or disinfect the water. Replacement is recommended every 12 months or after filtering up to 200,000 liters of water, whichever comes first.
