  • Protection against falling objects according to EN397

Standards: EN397 - Industrial safety helmets

The standard defines the requirements regarding the properties and marking of industrial protective helmets. It specifies manufacturing requirements, mandatory and optional protective properties, and provides testing methods for mandatory and optional examinations of industrial protective helmets.

According to the standard's instructions, each helmet must bear a marking in embossed or printed form including the following information:

  • Standard number
  • Manufacturer's name or identification number
  • Year and quarter of production
  • Helmet type
  • Size or size range
  • Abbreviation for shell material

Additional information, such as instructions and recommendations for adjustment, installation, cleaning, disinfection, maintenance, technical inspections, and storage, are provided in the user manual.
