The Sirui UV filter is made from Schott B270 optical glass with a seven-layer MRC coating and an aluminium ring. The coating helps prevent ghosting, reduces the buildup of dust and other unwanted particles on the surface, and protects the glass from surface scratches. The filter can be used to protect the front element of the lens in everyday conditions, as well as when photographing near the sea or at altitudes above 2,000 m.
