Viltrox Ultra Slim MC UV Filter - Lens Protection with B270 Glass
The Viltrox Ultra Slim MC UV Filter offers high transparency, absorbs UV rays, and reduces blue tones caused by UV, ensuring clarity and true color reproduction in images. Keeping the filter on the lens effectively protects the front element from dust, scratches, and impacts — a consumable layer much cheaper to replace than the lens itself.
B270 Ultra HD Optical Glass
The filter is made from professional-grade B270 optical glass, with high hardness (9H) resistant to scratches. Light transmission is 99.5%, with extremely low surface reflectance of 0.3% — for clear images and faithful color reproduction, without light loss or added brightness.
18 Layers of Nano-Multi-Coating
Both sides of the filter have 18 layers of nano-multi-coating with multiple properties:
- Hydrophobic: water slides off the surface, easy to clean
- Anti-dust: attracts less dust
- Oil-resistant: fingerprints are easily removed
- Scratch-resistant: durable protection of the optical layer
Ultra-Slim CNC Aluminum Frame
The frame is made from aerospace aluminum alloy, crafted with extreme precision via CNC, and corrosion-resistant. With a thickness of just 3.2mm, the ultra-slim design can be used without issues on wide-angle lenses — without vignetting (darkening at the corners) even at wide focal lengths.

How to Choose the Correct Diameter
The filter diameter must match the diameter of your lens thread. This value is marked on the lens or the front cap, preceded by the Ø symbol (e.g., Ø67 means a 67mm thread). Choose the filter variant with the same diameter.
Why Use a Protective UV Filter
The UV filter has a dual purpose: it filters ultraviolet rays (reducing atmospheric haze and blue tones, especially at high altitudes or near the sea) and, more importantly for modern digital cameras, it naturally protects the front element of the lens. A scratch or impact on the filter means replacing a cheap filter, not the entire lens. The filter remains permanently installed as a protective layer.
